Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 5

Hello Peachy friends! Today is my last day as a Peachy Keen Guest designer. =[ I have really enjoyed it and I'm actually a little sad it's coming to a close. My project today is for the LFIF challenge. The challenge is "Think Spring" handmade gifts! I am already in the Spring mode, as you can see from my projects this week, so I was up for the challenge!!

I decided to create a gift bag for my BFF with another favorite Peachy Keen Stamp set....Retro Face Assortment. We are both always giving eachother crafty goodies we pick up along the way after one of us has gone shopping. It is usually stuff we find on a really good sale. We usually just hand it to the other in whatever store bag it came from. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to whip up a cute little bag for the next shopping trip. I just know she will LOVE it!  (I'm sure she will see this post, but I knew she would love actually seeing something that is especially for her. Whenever I make a card she likes, I always get the call, "When are you sending me that card?"...LOL) So...Kim, this is for you, but you can't get it until I go shopping!!! HEHE!!

I used a black gift bag, layered it with some Papertrey Ink cardstock and ribbon, and a butterfly from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. The butterfly is cut at 3.71". I thought that Retro face added just the right touch. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that face. It is fun to color, too. It's like you are putting on her makeup! I used my Spica glitter pens for her eyes and lips and a little chalk for her cheeks. I added some white fabric thickers for a little extra POP!  I know I went a little crazy on the bling! I just couldn't stop! I actually removed a bunch, too!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 4

Happy Thursday! This is day 4 of my 5 days as a guest designer with Peachy Keen Stamps. I want to thank you so much for all the lovely comments. I read each and every one of them and they always make me smile. I hope you all have found at least a little inspiration this week. Peachy Keen faces really are a blast to work with! I can't get enough of them! There are many to choose from and I always get asked about what set to start with. Honestly, if you just pick a set of faces that YOU really like, it is easy peasy to incorporate them with most any project. For example, I often use the Princess faces on animals, etc. Hope that helps some of you that are new to Peachy Keen Stamps. I have used a different set each day this week, highlighting some of my favorite faces (now, that was FUN!).

Today's card kind of took on a life of its own...LOL. I started making a cupcake and ended up with a baby bunny!! Long story. I do this ALL the time. That pretty new Graphic 45 paper was sitting on my craft table and I just couldn't resist using it. Just didn't work with the cupcake. So...from cupcake to this:

I used the Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character Face Assortment-PK 490 to stamp the adorable face. This set was my very first Peachy set. Very special to me! This little baby bunny was cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I used the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder on some kraft cardstock and inked up the very top of the embossing. A little ribbon, some buttons and teeny tiny pearls, a Pink by Design stamp, all layered on top of that yummy Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime paper, and VOILA! A Peachy-fied card for somebunny special!

ETA:  I have a fun little tip for you. The sentiment I used is from Pink by Design Go Green Stamp Set and is all on one line. Well, this card is a mini, 4.5" x 4.5", and I just didn't have the room to stamp it that way. No problem! Just ink the stamp as normal, put a piece of tape over the second word, stamp, ink it up again, tape over the first word, stamp the second word underneath the first. Easy peasy and you can get even more versatility out of your stamp sets!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 3

Hello Peachy friends! I am back with another Peachy Keen Stamps project today. I really love how this card turned out and having those face stamps sure makes it easier!  When designing this card, I knew that I wanted to make an owl with my favorite little face from the Critter Faces Medium Set. !sn't that face just the cutest?! I love it when cards come together so well and you just get that warm fuzzy feeling when you look at them! Make sense? Well, I felt that way with this one. That face mixed with that cute owl and pretty colors just makes me happy. And...it was easy to make...a plus!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 2

Hi everyone! Kimmy here from Scrappin With Kimmy. Thanks for stopping by to check out my Peachy Keen guest designer spot. I will be at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog all week and I am having the best time! I just LOVE those Peachy Keen faces! Now that Valentine's Day is behind us, how about a Spring card? I am SO ready for Spring!! Although I live in Florida, this Winter has been unusually chilly. I don't think I'll ever complain about the hot Florida sun again...LOL. I miss it soooo badly! Anyhoo, I thought I would create a bright and Spring-y card for today's post.

I cut some flowers in three different sizes from the Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut cartridge and added those adorable faces from the Princess Face Assortment - PK640. Another favorite of mine! You can add them to just about anything! This is definitely my most go-to set.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 1

Happy Valentine's Day!! I am so excited to be a Peachy Keen Stamps guest designer this week! I have to admit that this is my favorite time of year to make cards. Hearts are my favorite shapes and pink is my favorite color! Needless to say, I was in heaven making this card with my favorite Peachy Keen Stamps set!

I used one of my favorite faces from the Laughy Taffy Face Assortment . (Warning: I LOVE all of my Peachy Keen Stamp sets, so you will probably hear me say the word "favorite" ALL week). I really like the versatility of this stamp set and I find that I use it A LOT! So much fun!  I used the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge to cut the adorable heart and wings and glittered them up with some gorgeous Martha Stewart Tourmaline glitter.

 I used my Spica glitter pens to add some color to her eyes and lips.

Included in the Laughy Taffy Assortment, is also this cute little stamp:

How fun is that?! I just HAD to stamp that on the back of my card! Too cute!

Peachy Keen Stamps - LFIF Challenge: Thank You Card

Happy weekend, friends! I promise I really am back in full force, as I stated a few days ago! I have been trying to get ahead on my Peachy projects for my guest designer week coming up. A priority on my New Year's Resolution list is to actually work AHEAD of deadlines! I'll let you know how that goes...LOL. Anyhoo, I wanted to share my card for the Peachy Keen Stamps "Let's Face It Friday" Challenge. The challenge is to use a Peachy Keen Face stamp and create a thank you card for any occasion. You should come and play along with us! You have until Janurary 20th.  I LOVED making this card and it really just makes me happy! Can you tell that I just recently got an I-Rock?! I LOVE that thing! I think I left it on a couple of the gems too long, as some glue came oozing out. I was too afraid to mess with it and make a mess out of my cardstock! Lesson learned for next time...hehe!!

Shaken, Not Stirred...

Hi friends! Well, when I woke up this morning it was COLD! I am so happy...LOL! I'm sure it won't last long, but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts and even though it still gets warm during the day. I have been loving the new digital Smiley Cards download on my Gypsy and here is a card I made last night. I recently got the Jump & Jive stamp set from Pink by Design and as soon as I saw that sentiment, I knew exactly what I was going to make. I also just added Laughy Taffy to my Peachy Keen Stamps collection and I just HAD to use this face...lol!  I am LOVING this set! So much fun!  Enjoy and have a HAPPY FRIDAY! I'm going to head out to the grocery store and get some hot cocoa...hehe! :)

A Very Merry Christmas Smiley Cards Gingerbread Girl

Happy Thursday folks! Here is a sweet and simple card I made using Smiley Cards from the new Gypsy update. The weather here has been pretty dark and gloomy, so I will try and get a better picture when it clears up. We are FINALLY getting some cooler weather here in Florida this weekend and I am ready! Sometimes it is hard to get inspired to make Christmas cards when the air conditioner is running and it feels like a sauna when you walk outside...LOL. I plan on having lots of hot cocoa with my kids and lighting the fireplace this weekend (at night, though, because it will still be warm during the day)...hehe...gotta LOVE Florida! Warm Holiday Wishes

Hi friends! Well, I've updated my Imagine and I can now use my Gypsy with it!! I can't fill in the images with color yet, but I'm still excited. I just get nervous when I can't use my Gypsy on a project...LOL. I do have to admit I've been getting a little discombobulated (spelling?...this is my favorite word!) with all the switching of machines! My mats have been paying the price of my discombobulation. As soon as I get used to putting the paper one way, then I switch machines, and cut all over my mats....EEK! I am definitely a creature of habit and I will be SO happy when all is normal in my Cricut world...LOL! Anyhoo, here is today's card. I was able to design this on my Gypsy and cut it on the Imagine just like I would with my Expression. The only difference is, the Imagine cuts a lot better!! Slower, but better.

Gingerbread "People" Tags - Winter Frolic

Hi everyone! I feel like I have been gone from you all forever! It seems like everything I've made over the past few days was a huge bust!!! Do you ever feel like you're overthinking your designs and then your project ends up looking like a mess? Well, that's how I've felt lately! I ended up scrapping those projects for now and decided to go back to the drawing board. I was really feeling the need to actually FINISH something, so I decided to go super simple, which for me, always works out best. I just received my latest Peachy Keen Stamps order and I knew I needed to see those Snow Cutie Faces asap! So, when there's a Peachy Keen 911, and you need to stamp that face NOW, what do you do? TRICK OR TREAT! A Mini Monsters Halloween Card

I am just in love with this little witch birdie! I made this card in the middle of the night the other night because I really needed a Halloween "fix"....LOL. I just LOVE Fall and I'm so excited about Halloween because it will be my FIRST with the new baby....my Cricut....and, of course, her sister, Gypsy. I'm a nut, I know, but I just LOVE em'!

Okay, enough of my Cricut love fest and onto the card... I cut this adorable bird from the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge. I can't remember what size I cut her because I usually design everything in my Gypsy. I pull in a rectangle that is the size of the card and play with the image until it is the size I want. This just works best for me. That way I don't end up having to guess at the size and waste a bunch of paper.

The cute little face is, of course, from Peachy Keen Stamps Critter Faces Medium. I have been having a blast playing with my new faces! I really heart Peachy Keen Stamps!!

All cardstock is from Papertrey Ink. The patterned paper is also from PTI, with the exception of the little strip on the witch hat. That was cut from the cutest mat stack EVER from Cloud Nine. The Trick or Treat stamp was just PART of a little DOLLAR set I got at JoAnn's. I have been lucky to find some great stamps from their dollar bin lately. YAY! Oh, and the ribbon, from PTI, too.

My Throwback Thursday Challenge Baby Card ~ Create a Critter / Peachy Keen Stamps

Here is a really simple card I made for the Throwback Thursday Challenge at Emma's blog. You are supposed to use the New Arrival Cricut cartridge, or, if you don't have that one, an older cartridge as long as make something that has to do with "baby". I don't have New Arrival yet (getting ready to order it with reward points), so I used Create a Critter. I'm not exactly sure how "old" CAC is, but she also says if you are just starting your library that you can use whatever you have. Since I have only had my Cricut for a couple of months, I'm going with my FAVORITE cartridge!! I also used my Peachy Keen stamps! The paper I used came from Big Lots!!! My local Big Lots has a really great scrapbooking section. They sell these "openstock" paper packs with no company name on the packaging. I started noticing that the paper looked REALLY familiar. I bought a few packs and did some comparing and found out they are DCWV. I think they take "bits and pieces" from the large paper stacks and bundle them up in these little $5.00 packs.
