Enough of my rambling. I know you want to get to the card, right?! Ha. I have been loving the Retro Sketches challenge blog and have finally gotten a chance to play. Seriously, they have the best sketches and a killer design team. You should really check it out if you haven't yet. The concept behind it is brilliant.
As you can see, I swayed a little from the sketch. That's the beauty of sketches. They are always a great starting point to get the creativity flowing. I almost always end up with a card completely different from what I intended!
So, here's a crafty confession. I originally loaded up the ice cream piece with star dust Stickles. It turned into a Stickle-trastophy! Apparently, I was a bit heavy-handed with the sparkle and it just looked awful and bumpy. I ended up tearing that part off and re-doing that part. I am posting a picture that I took last night that somehow looks a lot better than it did in real life!
So, what do you think? To Stickle or not to Stickle? Maybe a re-do with a thinner layer? |
I am also entering this into the Anything Goes Challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp challenge blog for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher. Yeah, count me in on that!!
Oh, one more thing that will make some of you very happy! I am updating my stamps for sale page with a TON of stamps! Great prices too! Don't forget to check back. I will post as soon as I get it updated.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
I love all the sparkle! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Simon Says Stamp challenge!
